WHERE ARE WE THIS SPRING?
Well, the spring outage season is now under way. Here are some places we are going to be.

Of course we are all looking
forward to our regular stop at Waltz Mill. |

What could be better, a relaxing data room, easy parking, 10 minute commute. Heck I might have to move away from Greensburg, so I can travel here. Most people stay in New Stanton, it's probably not the finest S.W. Pennsylvania has to offer, but just 10 minutes in any direction and the green Pennsylvania landscape takes over. A few people are trying this Holiday Inn, in Scottsdale, PA. Word is the staff is friendly, and night shift gets their rooms cleaned regularly. |
Moving on to,Catawba, located on Lake Wylie in York County, South Carolina.

Catawba Nuclear Station is located on Lake Wylie in York County, South Carolina. The lake was created in 1904 and is the oldest lake on the Catawba River.Catawba is one of three nuclear stations designed, built and operated by Duke Energy. Today, the nuclear fleet provides electricity to approximately half of Duke Energy’s customers in the Carolinas. |

This year a few people are staying in Rock Hill S.C., at The Hilton Garden. It's about 22 miles from the plant. Plenty of places to eat, and if you have some time go check out President James K Polk's Historic Site. |
Next we head west to see our friends at Exelon, this cycle, the outage is at Braidwood Unit 1
 |

Most of the folks stay in Joliet, about a 30 minute commute. Probably another 15 minutes to get up to the data room. Lots of hotels and restaurants to choose from.Of course you could always head to the riverboat casino's, if you have money burning a hole in your pocket. |
We are testing up in Michigan, Palisades nuclear generating station.

Refueling outage 20's daily flyer showing the data management's testing progress. Previously all data with the exception of acquisition was done back in Pennsylvania. This was the first time in many years many of us have been back toPalisades

We stayed at the Comfort Suites, close to down town South Haven. The people were very friendly. Bizarre episodes were reported in room 306. Lot's of excitement. |
